Via the Hollywood Reporter, AMC Entertainment film president Samuel “Sonny” Gourley is set to receive the Salah M. Hassanein (gazuntight) Humanitarian Award in October, at ShowEast 2009. Though his name may sound new, you’ve probably known Saumel Gourley by his other moniker, his pseudonym, Mr. Goddamn These Tickets Are F-king Expensive, Esq.
“It is amazing to think that in addition to assisting with all aspects of programming for AMC’s North American screens, Gourley has the time and drive to champion charitable and philanthropic causes within the industry,” ShowEast co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser said.
Oh, my bad. I get it now. Instead of complaining that the overpriced nacho cheese smells worse than dick sweat and that the $1.00 version of Gauntlet just munched my quarter like oxycontin, I should next time remember that those dollars were spent for the greater good of the world. So, in a sense, this date with my sister isn’t actually about sex…it isn’t even actually about me…it’s about the children…and the trophy that this guy just got.
